Level 3 Certificate of Competence in Aerial Tree Rigging 0039-32 (formerly CS41)

This course is for arborists needing to be trained to "rig down" tree sections using rigging and lowering equipment.

Objectives:

  • Be able to promote health and safety and industry good practice
  • Be able to carry out aerial tree rigging
  • Understand relevant health and safety legislation and industry good practice
  • Understand how to carry out aerial tree rigging

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): Chainsaw Trousers – Class 1 type A (front protection) or C (all around protection), Chainsaw Boots, Head Protection – to include head, ear and eye protection and Chainsaw Gloves

 Equipment: Chainsaw, fuel/oil, maintenance tools, Full Climbing Kit, Rigging Kit – Lowering rope, rigging block, re-direct pulley, rigging slings and strops (x4) and rigging karabiners (x4). All must have current LOLER certificate
