Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering (Refresher Training) - CIEH

This qualification is aimed at food handlers in catering businesses, who have previously achieved the Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering.  It is recommended that refresher training takes place three years after completing the original award.

This training will remind you of your responsibilities towards food safety, refresh any knowledge you may have forgotten and keep you up to date with legislative changes.

Objectives:

  • Understand the importance of food safety procedures and reporting how individuals can take personal responsibility for food safety.
  • Understand effective personal hygiene practices, their importance in food safety and their roe in reducing the risk of contamination.
  • Understand how working areas are kept clean and hygienic
  • Identify the sources and risks to food safety and understand the importance of keeping food safe.
