PTLLS - Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector
Level 3 Award in PTLLS
This award meets the minimum standard for those entering teaching in the lifelong learning sector. Successfully completing this award will equip candidates with the knowledge and skills required to develop and deliver programmes, provide learning support and take responsibility in managing the learning process in the post 16 / adult education and training. The programme for PTLLS is divided into two parts:
1. The training programme which is delivered over five days concluding with a micro teach session on the sixth day which is assessed.
2. This part concludes the delivery programme and candidates need to then prepare two assignments which are submitted at an agreed time.
Successful candidates must pass the three assignments one of which is the microteach.
